Exclusive tasting experience: Highland Park Dannebrog – a tribute to Denmark

A true Scottish gem – exclusive to Denmark
Highland Park Dannebrog is much more than just a whisky – it’s an experience. This limited 13-year-old single malt, tapped directly from a single refill sherry cask, is made exclusively for the Danish market. With just 648 bottles available, this is a piece of liquid history that should be treasured by any whisky lover.
Taste and characteristics
The dark golden colour promises something quite special, and Highland Park does not disappoint. On the nose, the whisky opens with a complex aroma of peat smoke, tart citrus and a warm sweetness from dates and vanilla. There are also hints of lemon peel and orange – a freshness that makes the nose lively and alluring.
A delicious symphony unfolds on the palate: sweet honey and ripe dried fruits are elegantly balanced by subtle smoke and citrus notes. The finish is long and creamy with a touch of smoke and warmth – like a gentle layer of ash that slowly disappears into the horizon.
A touch of Orkney, a nod to Denmark
Highland Park Distillery is known as the most remote in Scotland and is located on the windswept Orkney Islands. Founded in 1798 by the infamous whisky smuggler and Viking descendant Magnus Eunson, Highland Park continues its proud legacy. The Dannebrog edition is a tribute to Denmark and embodies both Scottish craftsmanship and Nordic strength.
