Before the first sip, you encounter the exciting aromas of fresh citrus – especially orange and lemon – complemented by warm spices like nutmeg and ginger. Notes of vanilla and polished oak form an elegant rounding and create a complex yet inviting nose.
Taste – Deeply Layered and Balanced
The taste experience clearly bears the mark of the expertise behind it. Here, sweet vanilla, crisp orange and warm notes of nutmeg and ginger come together in an excellent interplay. The volume percentage of 51.2% certainly does its job – the intensity is top-notch without being overwhelming.
After 10-15 minutes of oxygenation, the whisky opens up further, revealing even deeper nuances. The long, dry finish with oak is both satisfying and elegant.
