Macallan Edition No. 4 – A tribute to craftsmanship, innovation and taste

Macallan Edition No. 4

A celebration of Macallan's whisky heritage

Macallan Edition No. 4 is the fourth in Macallan’s groundbreaking annual series and marks the meeting of tradition and innovation. This limited edition single malt whisky is not just a drink – it is a celebration of the distillery’s craftsmanship and historical expertise, dating back to 1824 in Speyside, Scotland.

In this edition, Macallan has combined a unique selection of European and American oak casks, creating a vibrant and complex whisky with depth, texture and character. The result is a lively and sophisticated experience, with every drop revealing the distinctive character of the carefully selected cask types.

The new distillery that Macallan opened stands as an architectural masterpiece – and Edition No. 4 greatly reflects the elegance and innovation of the design in both expression and taste.

Aroma

The nose opens with bold and rounded honey, elegantly complemented by a sweet apple note. Fresh hints of orange peel are balanced by warm spices such as ginger and nutmeg, before the deep scent of mature oak, green herbs and floral undertones slowly take over.

Taste

The palate enters with an immediate warmth of nutmeg and woody spices. Green cloves create a spicy complexity that is quickly followed by a soothing sweetness. The finish is soft and viscous with a long finish of vanilla and barrel character.

Color and Alcohol

Edition No. 4 has an inviting burnt copper color with an alcohol strength of 48.4%, which highlights the flavor nuances without dominating.
