Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a tribute to traditional distilling methods that bring a new dimension to the classic Laphroaig taste experience. This unique whisky has been matured in smaller cask sizes, known as 'quarter casks', which intensifies contact with the wood and accelerates maturation.
The result is an extraordinarily deep and rich whisky. From the moment you open the bottle, you are greeted by an intense aroma of peat and smoke, typical of Laphroaig, but with an increased complexity. Notes of coconut and vanilla from the casks add a layer of sweetness and softness that perfectly balances the strong smoky character.
On the palate, Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a true explosion of flavour. The heavy smoke is still dominant, but is now accompanied by a wealth of fruity and spicy nuances that give a surprising roundness and depth. The finish is long and leaves a warming sensation with a persistent smoky character.
