AN EXPLORATION OF CHOCOLATE
In collaboration with renowned pastry chef Jordi Roca of the three Michelin star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, this release brings chocolate and whiskey to life.

To create the first limited edition whiskey in a new annual series of releases, The Macallan Whiskey Maker Polly Logan took a unique journey to Girona, Spain, where she immersed herself in the world of chocolate, exploring the chocolate-making process and uncovering the distinctive flavor profiles of Casa Cacao .

Polly worked with Jordi Roca, owner of the famous chocolate shop and hotel Casa Cacao and the youngest of the acclaimed Roca brothers.

As part of the exploration, she also spent time with Casa Cacao's master chocolatier Damien Allsop.

SUSTAINABLE
In homage to its chocolate influence, The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao is presented in a 100% recyclable gift box made from discarded shells from cocoa pods.

These shells, a by-product of the chocolate-making process, would have been sent to landfill or destroyed, but have now been reborn with a new purpose.

BRINGING CHOCOLATE AND WHISKEY TOGETHER
Through this unique experience, Polly has been inspired by the duo's passion, knowledge and creativity to create The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao. She explored The Macallan's aging casks to find whiskeys with rare, opulent chocolate notes that could be harmoniously combined with fine chocolates to create a rich and unique taste experience.
