‘The best red wine I've tasted in a long time.’
Quote: Kristoffer Glerup, Whiskystack.com Owner
Rabble 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is a striking example of why Paso Robles has become one of California's most exciting red wine regions. Here you get a Cabernet with power, juiciness and lots of character – but at the same time with Rabble Wines' well-known respect for nature and their artistic storytelling in the bottle.
The wine is created in collaboration with Mother Earth, as Rabble themselves describe it. The bottle label illustrates the power of nature through an exploding volcanic landscape, and that energy is reflected in the style of the wine: big, juicy and irresistibly ready to drink.
Tasting
You are first met by juicy red cherries, ripe strawberries and a hint of cranberry, which lifts the aroma with a light, fruit-driven freshness.
On the palate, the wine opens with a clean, slender and red-fruity core, where the oak remains discreetly in the background – only a mild hint of cedar and cocoa emerges.
The tannins are soft but firm enough to provide structure, and the finish is long, harmonious and with a light, lifted juicy tone that is so characteristic of Paso Robles.
Production & Grapes
Rabble creates wine with care for both nature and craftsmanship. This vintage includes a complex blend that adds extra layers and depth:
84% Cabernet Sauvignon
5% Merlot
4% Malbec
4% Petit Verdot
3% Cabernet Franc
This composition provides fruitiness, structure and an elegant aromatic balance.
