When matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, The Macallan's rich, fruity and full-bodied new make spirit is transformed into a classic single malt.
Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for 12 years and is brought together in this rich and complex whisky, characterised by spices and dried fruit and a natural rich golden colour.
AROMA
A rich aroma of dried fruit, especially raisins and figs, combined with notes of vanilla, cinnamon and sherry.
TASTE
The taste is full-bodied and balanced with layers of oak, spices and sweet fruit, which provides a deep and harmonious taste experience.
Finish
The long finish is smooth and lingering with notes of oak and dried fruit that slowly fades, leaving a pleasant warmth on the palate.
