100% Chardonnay from the heart of northern Burgundy
On the chalky slopes of Venoy, close to the legendary Chablis, Domaine Boussard cultivates this elegant and mineral Chardonnay with great respect for terroir and tradition.
Cuvée LES PIERRES BLANCHES – “the white stones” – derives its character from the unique Kimmeridgian soil, rich in limestone and fossil deposits, which gives the wine its refined minerality and fresh, precise style. The south-westerly exposure ensures optimal ripening of the grapes and creates a harmonious balance between ripe fruit and vibrant acidity.
In the glass, the wine appears golden and brilliant with delicate aromas of citrus, white flowers, and a hint of chalky minerality. The taste is dry, elegant, and well-structured with notes of lemon, ripe green apples, and a long, clean finish.
The wine is gently vinified and aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for up to 12 months to preserve the grape's pure expression and the authenticity of the terroir. Only a minimum of sulfites are added during bottling.
An exclusive Burgundy Chardonnay with finesse, freshness, and classic French elegance – perfect with seafood, fish, white meat, or as a sophisticated glass on its own.
Our visit to Domaine Boussard:
My name is Kristoffer Glerup, and I am the founder of Whiskystack.com. In the spring of 2026, I drove around Burgundy from one small winery to the next.
Over several days, I tasted more than 100 different Burgundy wines. Many were good. Some were really good.
But one wine kept sticking in my mind.
In a small village near Chablis, I visited Domaine Boussard — a small family-owned domaine run by the 4th generation. Not a big, flashy winery. No tourist buses. No smart marketing. Just passion, tradition, and uncompromising quality.
When we tasted their Chardonnay “Cuvée Les Pierres Blanches 2024,” it went completely silent around the table.
It was precisely what you hope to find when you travel to Burgundy. Purity. Minerality. Balance. A wine with personality and nerve.
Production is very small, and the bottles quickly sell out locally in France. So we made a quick decision:
We bought everything we could get.
This also means that this wine can only be purchased at Whiskystack.
Some wines taste good.
Others tell a story.
This is one of them.
