Frequently asked questions
The Macallan 18 Years Old Double Cask 2024 is the culmination of 18 years of patient maturation in carefully selected oak casks. This vintage unites the best of two worlds: American and European Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks, which together create an extraordinarily rich and harmonious single malt whisky.
This whisky is created for the discerning collector and whisky lover who appreciates depth, complexity and a flavour profile that is only achieved through almost two decades of cask maturation. With its characteristic amber-honey colour and a nose filled with dried fruits, ginger and toffee, the Macallan 18 Double Cask is an experience for all the senses.
Flavour Profile – Honey, Citrus and Ginger
NOSE Dried fruit, ginger and toffee. Rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.
PALATE Rich raisins and sultanas with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spices and zesty citrus.
FINISH Warm oak spice and ginger, slowly fading to sweet orange. Long and pleasant with a complexity that invites another sip.
