An elegant Pinot Noir from the South of France – discovered on one of my many wine journeys 🍷

The hunt for the perfect Pinot Noir has taken me far and wide.

I have traveled far and wide, crossed borders, and explored the world of wine like a modern-day Columbus. The difference? He was looking for new land; I am looking for fantastic wines. We explorers each have our own priorities! 😂

One of my exciting discoveries was at the Canet winery in the South of France. A place where the beautiful landscapes and the family's passion for wine make an impression.

This is where I found A(l/t)titude Pinot Noir.

What is special about this wine is the combination of Pinot Noir's elegant character and its juicy, inviting fruit. It is a wine that proves you don't need to pay Burgundy prices to enjoy a lovely Pinot Noir.

How does it taste?

The wine has a beautiful ruby red color and an inviting aroma of cherries, raspberries, and fine spices.

The taste is juicy, fresh, and harmonious with plenty of red berries, a subtle hint of vanilla, and soft, pleasant tannins. The finish is elegant and lingering.

The grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness. 80% of the wine is produced in tanks, while 20% is aged in wood, which adds extra depth without overpowering the delicate fruit.

What should you serve it with?

A versatile Pinot Noir that goes excellently with roast chicken, mushroom risotto, lasagna, lamb, and mild cheeses. Serve it slightly chilled at 14–16 °C.

Why did I choose it?

I have long been on a mission to find more wines for Whiskystack in a more accessible price range, but never at the expense of taste.

For me, it’s not about finding the cheapest wines. It’s about finding wines that I want to drink myself.

Some look for treasures. I prefer to find mine in a bottle. ❤️
