The Macallan Quest is a tribute to the entire journey undertaken by The Macallan to find the best oak over 20,000 miles; concluding with the selection of four different but complementary cask types to deliver a single malt whiskey that creates a genuine anticipation for further exploration and enjoyment.
American bourbon casks are combined with hand-picked sherry-aged European and American oak casks and hogsheads to give a character of fresh citrus aromas and sweet vanilla oak.
