Volsted Distillery is a Danish micro-distillery located in the Lindenborg Ådal valley south of Aalborg. The distillery has its own water source, where water is drawn from the underground near the Storbjerg limestone hill. The founder, Thorbjørn Ravn Kaagaard, has combined experience in process engineering and schnapps production with a passion for distillation and the development of his own recipes. The distillery's production equipment has been developed with a focus on craftsmanship, and the gin is made on a 100-liter distillation apparatus using pot and vapor infusion techniques. The bottles are filled and labeled by hand.
